Event Scheduling AI Bot Web App

Sched is a quick and convenient way to schedule your daily appointments and events of all kinds. Sched is tailored to fit the busy professional and personal needs. Sched is your smart virtual assistant who easily schedules your appointments using AI Technology.

Role

This was a AI Bot web app project, we created for convenient scheduling on the go.

Duration

4 months (jan 2019 – Apr. 2019)

Team

Rosemary H. & Myself.

Tools

Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator

Scope

Branding, UI/UX Design, User Research, Usability Testing

The Problem

Busy professionals find it difficult to schedule appointments and to keep up with important meetings. Everyone has different schedules and availabilities, it is almost impossible to schedule people for meetings or events when everyone will be available, until now.

The goal/objective

Design an AI bot based mobile app for Sched, that is intuitive and efficient to schedule all types of meetings to better organize all events in one place, on the go.

User Research: Summary

I conducted interviews and created empathy maps and brief competitor analysis to understand the users I’m designing for and their needs. A primary user group identified through research was working adults with busy schedules, who don’t have time to schedule their appointments or daily events.

This user group confirmed initial assumptions about Sched customers, but research also revealed that time was not the only factor limiting users from scheduling appointments. Other user problems included obligations, interests, or challenges that make it difficult to schedule various people to meet up for events. The most similar app on the market currently is Cordova – from Microsoft.

Pain points

user journey

I created a user journey map of Rosemary’s experience using the site to help identify possible pain points and improvement opportunities.

Digital Wireframes

Moving from paper to digital wireframes made it easy to understand how the redesign could help address user pain points and improve the user experience.

Low Fidelity Prototype

To create a low-fidelity prototype, I connected all of the screens involved in the primary user flow of adding an event and completing the procss.

At this point, I had received feedback on my designs from members of my team about things like overall layout, organization and placement of elements throughout the design. I made sure to listen to their feedback thoroughly and implement the several suggestions that addressed the users pain points.
